

General Assembly Meeting at University College Dublin
ON 20-21 of May, University College Dublin (UCD) hosted the General Assembly of the GEH LIFE project in Dublin.
During the meeting, LIST team shared their latest progress and achievements, including the deployment of additional sensors and IoT devices at the Fësch Haff S.à.r.l. farm. The initial analysis of the collected data revealed interesting microclimate effects and identified potential opportunities to optimize energy use and natural resource management.
A key focus of the discussions was on innovative methods for converting manure into liquid fertilizers suitable for hydroponic farming systems. Participants also had the opportunity to visit UCD Lyons Farm, where manure samples are collected, and to see the first prototypes of the aerobic biofilter reactors developed by UCD.
The Bundeswehr University Munich team presented the initial results of the cost-benefit analysis, emphasizing the importance of reducing costs to ensure scalability and promote future adoption by stakeholders.
